Transit Custom Cab -Internal Screens

Easy to order and the item arrived within 36 hours - very efficient in these Covid times.
There are 2 side screens and one large front screen. You need to push the window suction pads through the screen eyelets which is a bit fiddly but becomes easier after you've fitted the second one. The top of the Front screen is supported by pulling down the sunscreen visors. After use, the visors are stowed in a sealable plastic bag.
The product itself works well and I recommend it.

A 3-piece cab screen set for the Transit Custom 2016-2023 without rain sensor. Photos show this on a VW van, but we are working on getting some van specific photos as soon as possible.

These Thermal Silver Screens easily affix to the inside of your camper van windows and are the ultimate solution for maintaining warmth during cooler weather and deflecting sunlight on hot summer days.

The screens are held in place by plastic window suckers and can be put up and taken down in a few minutes. Screens are van specific for a tailored fit, so please check your van model before ordering.

In our experience of using, building and hiring out campervans these screens are the bees knees! No curtains to flap around your ears while you drive, made from 100% blackout material and very good insulation at night when you really need it.

Construction of the CLI-MAT NT Screens

The NT screens have a 4 layer system. This extra insulating layer is made from an air bubble construction, which we have found to be more effective than the old system of 6/7 layers without air bubble insulation. The NT screens are lighter in weight and more compact than the CLI-MAT NT Thermo styles we also sell.

Compatibility & Fitting

Screens are vehicle & window specific so will only fit the model listed
Some factory models e.g. the Caravelle have plastic mouldings around the windows, which will result in a poorer fit
The soft plastic suckers grip securely, provided the glass is clean and smooth. Avoid attaching them to dirty or heated glass surfaces. Some aftermarket windscreens with extended black dot patterns around the rear-view mirror might pose adherence challenges.
For front window screens you need to fold down the sun visors to help keep the top of the screens neatly in place and reduce light coming in around the edges.
